For a long time, even in the face of the collaboration between the two brands, Samsung and Google, the Galaxy Watch 4 were the only smartwatches to be equipped with the new Wear OS 3 operating system: the scenario, however, has just changed thanks to the German Montblanc, which specializes in leather goods, jewelry, and luxury pens, has announced, in a press release, the new wearable Montblanc Summit 3, available for purchase from next July 15th, at a price of 1,250 euros.

The case of the Montblanc Summit 3, which takes up the legacy of the October 2018 model, the Summit 2, has a titanium case, 42 mm in diameter, with 3 side buttons (including a rotating crown in the middle ), drawn up in 3 colors, namely in silver, black and two-tone black and silver.

The straps are in rubber rubber or leather, but their type and color varies according to the Summit 3 model chosen: in this case, the Silver Titanium model will be accompanied by blue rubber or black calfskin straps, the one in Black Titanium will be combined with black calfskin or black rubber rubber straps, while the two-tone model that contrasts the silver case with the black dial will have black rubber or green calfskin straps (“Montblanc Extreme 3.0 British Green” ). Obviously, still at the level of aesthetics, there will be the realistic watchfaces, which reproduce the mechanical timepieces of the brand, among which the Boheme and Geosphere iterations stand out.

In addition to aesthetics, the luxury wearable also focuses heavily on the environmental issue, being supplied with various “support tools to maximize the experience of the complete life cycle”, including the provision of the proprietary assistance service for the battery replacement, and shipping in “sustainable paper packaging”.

The on-board sensors of the Montblanc Summit 3 detect the quality of sleep in its phases, the heart rate 24 hours a day, the saturation of oxygen in the blood, track various sports activities, including the steps taken.

On the processing side, the top-of-the-range processor for wearable launched two years ago in the summer, or the Wear 4100+ by Qualcomm, operates, due to which the autonomy should exceed the day of use (in smartwatch mode) ensured to the current Summit models of the brand. The “hands” on the presence of the Wear OS 3 operating system were favored by the brand itself, when it emphasized the presence of the latest version of Google’s Wear OS, referring to wrist payments via Google Pay and indications step by step on Google Maps.
