Also poured into low-cost notebooks, the Chinese Teclast did not present a tablet since last year, when the Teclast P80 was announced: the time has therefore proved ripe, just before the summer of 2022, to announce its first tablet of 2022, of next commercialization, represented by the Teclast M40 Air.

The new Teclast M40 Air, so defined for its lightness and structural slenderness (240 x 160 x 7.8 mm for 430 grams) which make it easier to hold in the hand, will be out of the box with Android 11 on board, but will not benefit from a 3.5 mm mini-jack. The design is, on the whole, classic, standard, with symmetrical bezels around the display, a resolute 10.1-inch LCD panel in FullHD (1920 x 1200 pixels) with 224 PPI (pixels per inch).

Frontally, on the long right frame there is a 5 megapixel self-focusing camera, without autofocus or flash, while, behind, a small porthole has, above the LED flash, an 8 megapixel sensor, with autofocus.

The audio can count on the optimizations of the proprietary Momentum II technology: unfortunately, for headphones and earphones, it will be necessary to rely on the microUSB 2.0 Type-C: the Teclast M40 Air tablet uses an octacore processor (2.0 GHz) of 2018, the MediaTek P60 MT6711 combined with the Mali-G72 MP3 graphics card, with a lot of memory for both RAM and storage.

Specifically, we are talking about 8 GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 128 GB of UFS 2.1 storage expandable up to 1 TB via microSD. Suitable for use on the move, given the presence of the Dual SIM with 4G and GPS (with BeiDou, Glonass and Galileo), the Teclast M40 Air uses Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi ac / 5 dual band. There is also a great autonomy, thanks to a battery of 6,000 mAh, with a fairly rapid charge obtainable through the 18W Power Delivery (PD).
