During an event at the Rockefeller Center in New York, Tecno Mobile, a brand of the Transsion Holdings group, presented the innovative Camon 19 smartphone series, which also includes two Pro models.
Starting from the latter, the Camon 19 Pro (166.79 x 74.55 x 8.58 mm) has a front with a perforated display inserted between the frames presented as the thinnest in the world, equal to just 0.98 mm: this allowed to insert a large display 6.8-inch IPS LCD, resolved in FullHD + (1080 x 2460 pixels), with wide color gamut, 120 Hz refresh rate, TÜV Rheinland certification, and 32 megapixel selfiecamera (5 lenses, 80.4 ° field of view, 0.8 micrometer pixels ). The fingerprint scanner is on the side, on the flat frame.
Behind, on a diamond coverback with an effect capable of nanometrically returning the illusion of 200 million crystals, the design provides two symmetrical rings for a triple camera set up for night portrait mode, with the Film Master tool (e.g. for effects of transition), and equipped with laser focus: to compose it, behind a lens not in plastic but in crystal, is the debut 64 megapixel ISOCELL GWB sensor (1 / 1.17 “, f / 1.6, phasic focus, electronic stabilization and optical, HDR video), made by Samsung with RGBW matrix which, together with the blue, yellow, red pixels, juxtaposes a white one, so that the images are not influenced by the color cast and that, thanks to the 208% increase in the entry of light, especially night shots can get up to 30% more light.
The latter is flanked by a sensor for the portrait, from 50 megapixels (f / 1.98, equivalent to 50mm, 6 lenses, 0.64 micrometers of pixels, 2x optical zoom) and a 2 megapixel AI sensor (88.9 ° of visual angle, f /2.4, Bokeh). The camera app of the device implements, among others, the 3D Lut Dual Core function, which optimizes the background and skin tone in a different way, for a more natural result, as well as a Super night mode with filters, to beauty AI, and at the Sky Shop to change the sky.
Equipped for 4G, the Camon 19 Pro is powered by an octacore Helio G96 processor, while there are two memory configurations, respectively 8 + 128 and 8 + 256 GB for what concerns the RAM (virtually expandable by 5 GB) and the storage. The 5,000 mAh battery charges quickly (from 0 to 100 in 65 minutes) at 33W via microUSB 2.0 Type-C. Do not miss the NFC, the 3.5 mm mini-jack with FM radio, and the HiOS 8.6 operating system (based on Android 12) with a strong “fix” on creative editing (photo animation, mp3 taken from videos, etc) .
Moving on to the Camon 19 Pro (with) 5G (166.65 x 74.31 x 8.58 mm in Eco Black and Cedar Green colors), the specifications are identical to the 4G model, but with two differences: the self-camera is 16 megapixel (f / 2.0, focus fixed), and change the processor, which here is a Mediatek Dimensity 810 octacore.
Among the smaller models, we start with the Camon 19 (166.63 x 74.37 x 8.30 mm, in Eco Black Sea Salt White Digital Green colors). According to the data sheet, all the photographic options seen on the flagship model remain, including the bright video portraits, the HDR videos, the Film Master tool, the Bokeh videos, the Pro mode, the 3D LUT Dual Core, the super night mode with filters, and AI Beauty.
The device is driven by the Mediatek Helio G85 processor, in the configurations of RAM (expandable by 5 GB) and storage, from 4 + 128 and 6 + 128 GB. The battery remains 5,000 mAh, but charges less quickly, at 18W: on the other hand, NFC, Type-C and the 3.5 mm mini-jack remain.
In conclusion, the Camon 19 Pro Neo (168.84 x 76.94 x 8.47 mm in Eco Black Ice Mirror Dreamland Green colors). Compared to the previous model, of which it shares the processor, the display, the energy set-up, the NFC, the Type-C, the audio mini-jack, the selfiecamera is 32 megapixel (f / 2.45, 6 lenses, 0, 8 micrometers of pixels, 80.4 °), on the back the triple camera, always with an AI sensor, provides a 48 megapixel main sensor (f / 1.79, 80.3 °, 6 lenses, phasic focus) and the already seen Bokeh sensor from 2 megapixels, and the memory arrangement (with expandable RAM) provides 6 + 128 GB.
