The always very active distributor Audiogamma has scored another big hit, bringing the new line-up of E-1 turntables of the Austrian brand Pro-Ject to Italy which, among the new models, also offers Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity.

For some time now, the market has been experiencing a second youth in terms of vinyl music carriers. Also for this reason the Austrian brand Pro-Ject, which in thirty years of honorable career has never lost faith in this somewhat vintage means of listening to music, has announced its arrival in Italy too, through the famous distributor. Audiogamma, of its new line-up of Pro-Ject E-1 turntables, aimed at bringing newbies to our parents’ music at a good price.
Cadenced in walnut, black or lacquered white, the 3 turntables of the Pro-Ject E-1 series (420 x 112 x 330 mm, weighing 3.5 kg) share many specifications. Basically, they are equipped with an acrylic cover, under which operates, together with the asynchronous motor with elastic suspension, a plate, made of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS, internally reinforced), whose rotation speed – by belt – it is managed electronically.
The aluminum arm measures 8.6 inches and ends with an Ortofon OM5e cartridge for which the manufacturer has prepared a special headshell. The base, thanks to the CNC processing of the mineral fibers of which it is composed, optimizes the spaces and, as it has no empty surfaces, it also succeeds in minimizing the resonances. To differentiate the three iterations of the Pro-Ject E-1 range are the features.
The first model, the standard Pro-Ject E-1, is recommended for those who have an amplifier equipped with a phono input. The E1 Phono model, on the other hand, is suitable for those who do not have an amplifier equipped with this specific input, since the turntable itself integrates a phono pre-amplifier that acts as a link between the first and the second device: otherwise, the E- version 1 BT is the one equipped with a Bluetooth 5.0 connection and, as such, allows you to listen to vinyl music (33 or 45 rpm) even through wireless headphones or on your favorite speaker.
According to what was communicated by the distributor, the advanced Pro-Ject E-1 turntables will be available on the market from next month, therefore in June 2022, with the standard E-1 model listed at 329 euros, against 359 for the Phono variant and 449 euros for the version. BT.
