Tronsmart, a Chinese company founded in 2013 and established with hi-tech accessories, has for some time now also been producing complete products, as in the case of its new “beach” speaker which, under the name of Groove 2, will arrive on the market on official store, in a few days, in July, at a price of just 34.99 euros.
The new Tronsmart Groove 2, compact, has a hexagonal shape which, combined with its external rubber coating, absorbs shocks in the event of a fall, while the waterproofness according to the IPX7 degree allows it to be used also by the pool, on the water’s edge. and in the course of a fleeting shower. The presence of a carabiner, on the other hand, contributes to an easy portability of the device which can be easily attached to a backpack or a bike.
Controllable via a series of buttons (volume up and down, pause, play, multi-function that can also be used for switching on / off), the Tronsmart Groove 2 speaker grants a frequency response between 20Hz and 20kHz, with a passive radiator that boosts properly the bass, while a further leap in quality is obtained by switching from the default mode to the Sound Pulse mode. Thanks to dual pairing it is possible to pair one specimen to another and obtain a stereophonic sound.
In terms of sources, it is possible to make use of the microSD slot, in which to load your music, of the aux-in input in which to insert a cable with 3.5 mm jack that will point towards the device without wireless connectivity or, indeed , of Bluetooth 5.3.
The latter, with coverage up to 18 meters, provides support for many profiles (AVRCP, A2DP, HFP, HSP) but only the SBC codec. Finally, in terms of autonomy, the battery, from 2,500 mAh, which can be charged in 3.5 hours at 10W via microUSB Type-C, promises up to 18 hours of autonomy, keeping the LED backlight off (which makes the device a night torch, but which usually synchronizes to the sound of music), which go down to 6 hours using it.
