Umidigi C1 and G1: entry levels with Android 12 under 80 euros are official

In the promo launch below the symbolic threshold of 80 euros, the new entry level smartphones C1 & G1 by Umidigi arrive on the market in a few days, powered by a Mediatek processor, hyper autonomous, and with the lighter version of Android 12.

One month after the launch of its latest battery phone, the Chinese brand Umidigi has announced the entry level smartphones C1 and G1, practically the same apart from the differences in size and colors, already available for purchase at Aliexpress at the price of 155.13 euros. (discounted at around 76.09 euros from June 27th to July 1st).

Umidigi C1 (164.16 x 76.44 x 8.75 mm for 192 grams, in the colors starry black, matt silver and Hawaii blue) and G1 (164.06 x 75.89 x 8.75 mm for 195 grams, in the colors starry black, Sunglow Gold and galaxy blue) use a 6.52-inch “full-screen” LCD display (optimized frames), resolved in HD + (1600 x 720 pixels) according to an aspect ratio of 20: 9, with 269 PPI and 60 Hz refresh rate.

The self-camera, in the drop notch, is 5 megapixel (f / 2.2, Beauty AI, selfie timer) and supports face unlock, in addition to videos up to FullHD @ 30fps. The back resembles the model seen at the end of May, with a vaguely octagonal bumper that incorporates, together with the LED Flash, the dual camera sensors, formed by a 13 megapixel main (f / 2.2, HDR, panorama, real-time filters, photos stabilized night, video up to FullHD @ 30fps) and one for 2 megapixel macros (f / 2.4). Audio side, there are the 3.5 mm mini-jack, the microphone and the mono speaker.

The quadcore processor (1.5 GHz) MediaTek MT6739, in tandem with the PowerVR GE8300 GPU (800 MHz), takes advantage of the mnemonic structure which, in the Umidigi C1 and G1 is 2 GB for the RAM (LPDDR3) and 32 GB for the storage (eMMC 5.1), expandable via microSD (giving up the second SIM) up to 256 GB.

In the Umidigi C1 and G1, the battery is 5,120 mAh, which can be charged at 10W via the microUSB Type-C (OTG): in terms of connections, in addition to 4G, GPS (Beidou, Galileo, Glonass), there are Bluetooth 4.2 and dual band Wi-Fi ac. The on-board firmware takes care of coordinating everything, as Android 12 in Go Edition.
