The most awaited smartphone of the day was presented by BBK in China, resulting in the first folding for the Vivo brand which, with the Vivo X Fold, seems ready to dictate the line to the entire foldable sector.
After a long series of rumors, on China Weibo and other Chinese social networks, Vivo’s first folding smartphone has finally become reality, the Vivo X Fold (8,999 yuan, approximately 1,298 euros), created to challenge the rival Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G , but also the “cousin” Oppo Find N.
Cadenced in the blue, black and gray palettes, Vivo X Fold (311 grams), on one of the two outer halves, offers a quadcamera, in bumper extended almost over its entire width, without compromise, with a main sensor (assisted by the V1 chip ) 50 megapixel (ISOCELL GN5, 1 / 1.57 inch, f / 1.75, optical gimbal stabilization), one ultra wide angle (114 °) 48 megapixel (Sony IMX598, f / 2.2, 4-axis OIS Gimbal stabilization) , a telephoto lens (2x) also for the 12 megapixel Portrait (IMX663, f / 2.4, 47 mm), a telephoto with periscopic lens (5x optical zoom, 60x super zoom) 8 megapixel (f / 3.4, laser autofocus). To protect the internal display, awarded with an A + from Display Mate, the same ultra-thin UTG glass supplied by Shott pure to Samsung acts: at the software level, Android 12 is covered by the Origin OS which, in this case, supports multi-tasking on the large screen in the form of floating windows in which to run apps, unless you decide to place two side by side.
