Without too much fuss, Vivo has announced in India a low cost smartphone, the Vivo Y15C, animated by Android 12 under the Funtouch OS 12 interface, provided in the Mystic Blue and Wave Green colors.

The new Vivo Y15C has a plastic frame (163.96 x 75.2 x 8.28 mm for 179 grams): the front has a very evident chin, while the other 3 frames are barely noticeable, and a now antiquated teardrop notch has been adopted at the top of water. On the imaging side, the display is a 6.51-inch IPS LCD panel, resolved in HD + (720 x 1,600 pixels) according to an aspect ratio of 20: 9, with 60 Hz refresh rate: the front camera is 8 megapixel (f / 2.0 , facial recognition, face beauty).

On the coverback, a square bumper on the left houses a basic dual camera, consisting of a 13 megapixel main sensor (f / 2.0, panorama, Pro, documents, time-lapse, live photo) and a secondary 2 megapixel sensor (f / 2.4) for macros. On the audio side, there is an FM radio via 3.5 mm mini jack.

On the side, the fingerprint scanner is located in the Vivo Y15C. Inside the smartphone, the manufacturer has opted for a rather obsolete processor, the 2018 octacore Mediatek Helio P35, made at 16 nanometers, with 2.3 GHz of clock speed, paired with the PowerVR GE8320 graphics card: the RAM (LPDDR4X) from 3 GB is paired, from time to time according to the set-up, with 32 or 64 GB of storage, expandable via microSD (for an extra max 1 TB) thanks to a trolley which, however, does not take away space from the concomitance of two SIMs.

The connectivity array of the Vivo Y15C includes the aforementioned Dual SIM, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, microUSB 2.0, and GPS (BeiDou, A-GPS, Galileo, Glonass): the battery, from 5,000 mAh, promises 7.89 hours of intensive gaming, or 18.74 hours of streaming in HD, and supports both 10W charging and reverse charging for the benefit of other devices running out of power.
