According to the leakers, the popular green messaging known as WhatsApp would be working to revive, in the name of small but important changes, in favor of Business users, the profile sharing interface.
WhatsApp: a new profile sharing interface is being developed

Recently, WhatsApp instant messaging has released some useful privacy news and a small improvement for when you receive or share documents, likely to become more decisive if it becomes possible to share documents up to 2 GB, as currently being tested in Argentina. Between releases, CEO Will Cathcart’s team certainly didn’t forget to focus on developing future implementations.

Once again, the leakers of WABetaInfo realized this, usually in plumbing the application meanders of the messaging in green, to bring to light bug fixes, small implementations not reported in the changelogs, or even functions still in development and, in as such, not yet clear to the public. Exactly in this last case falls what was discovered by analyzing the beta of WhatsApp for Android, release 2.22.9.8, just made available by Menlo Park in the Play Store of the green robot, but also available for download via the ApkMirror site.

Specifically, it emerged that WhatsApp is working on a restyling of the interface that appears when you want to share a profile: the first change will concern the sharing icon, which will see the QR Code button replaced by the more classic icon of the triangle. sharing.

Likewise, the Share section of the profile will undergo a change, since it will allow you to copy, or share (with the classic Android typical menu, including the apps installed on the user’s smartphone) in the way you want, a short link, that is a deeplink which, having ended up in the recipient’s chat, if the latter type above it, will open the profile of the user to which the link refers directly in-app, so that it is immediately possible to start a chat.

This highlights, as explicitly reiterated just below the two short link sharing options mentioned, that the restyling of the new sharing interface will only concern Business users. Finally, a small detail from a privacy perspective should be noted, given that, since the short link includes the phone number of the profile owner, if you share your own short link, you will end up sharing your phone number as well.
