Updates continue at the WhatsApp headquarters, with the famous instant messaging that has filled a small gap on Windows and revived an awaited function on Android after a sudden and mysterious removal.
WhatsApp: Reactions again on Android, new Archive on UWP for Windows

After the restart of the polls for the groups, and new limitations to curb the propagation of fake news, WhatsApp is again “back in action”, through two betas, releasing one for Windows, with archive mode, and one for Android, with the revival of the Reactions.

The first novelty of this short recap involves the beta version of the UWP iteration of WhatsApp for Windows which, as known, still lacks various features, including the one to send photos and videos in the “once view” mode (although, with the release 2.2212.2.0, at least the possibility to see the media sent in this way has arrived). Aware of the existing gaps, Menlo Park has started the release of a novelty for the UWP version of WhatsApp beta for Windows, which brings with it the most recent version of the archived chat function thanks to which the chats archived in this way do not return “to galla ”when a new message arrives inside them (as, instead, happened in the old archive mode).

To take advantage of the novelty (already present on the mobile side), indeed subject to some bugs (by canceling the archiving of a chat, curiously it does not update the chat list) you need to be ready by installing the latest beta of the UWP version of WhatsApp for Windows, release 2.2213.3.0, downloadable from the Windows Store which, in reality, allows you to benefit from something else. Specifically, according to the leakers of WABetaInfo, the new UWP in question introduces a small graphic revision to the settings, where there are 5 new icons, for the benefit of the items “Media, File, Links, Encryption and Groups”.

Recently, WhatsApp released the beta release 2.22.8.3 for Android, with which, only to think again quickly, it temporarily enabled some users to release Reactions to chat messages. In the past few hours, the beta of WhatsApp for Android has been elevated to release 2.22.9.4 making sure that, again, some users have the ability to react to messages using the Reactions: to see if you are among the lucky accounts subject to activation by remote server (which seems to have also affected some users in possession of the release 2.222.8.11), just hold down a message and see if the bar with the 6 emojis appears (thumbs up, heart, thanks, smiley face, crying, amazed ) usable as Reactions.

If you have received the authorization, you will be able to react with a single emoji and, by touching a Reaction, you will be able to see who used it to react to a message: otherwise, not noticing the news, you will have to wait for a future update.
