WhatsApp has many new features planned for 2024 but 2023 is still in full swing. This year has been fundamental for the famous messaging platform which has in fact reported several changes.

During the last few hours, a new feature has been reported that would help improve the experience for its 2.7 billion global users. At least for the moment the news would only concern iOS.

WABetaInfo, the main and most reliable source for WhatsApp news and updates, has therefore reported something new. More precisely, the app owned by Meta intends to perfect a new function useful for group calls.

According to what has been reported, these will be able to offer support from the beginning for a maximum of well 31 participants. To get a taste of the new possibility you will need to install the version update 23.21.72 for iOS directly from the App Store. That’s right, you read right: now you can include up to 31 people in your call group even before starting one.

WhatsApp is launching a feature to start group calls with up to 31 participants

Previously, WhatsApp allowed its users to make group calls with up to 31 participants. However, there was a problem: at the beginning you could choose only 15 contacts. Now, with the latest update that the company has made to the platform, it will be possible to include all participants from the beginning. The goal is clear: the app wants to improve the calling experience by making it easier and more fluid.

For those who haven’t received this feature yet, simply check the App Store for updates regularly by searching for WhatsApp. The changelog currently doesn’t give a specific release date, but it appears some accounts may receive the feature in the coming weeks.

This group calling feature also appeared in the WhatsApp beta for Android. This means it will likely roll out to Android users in the coming days as well.
