In both smartphones, the self-camera, in the hole at the top center, is 32 megapixel (f / 2.4).

The collaboration with Leica also takes place on the back, substantiated in the use of Summicron lenses and special imaging profiles to choose from (Leica Authentic Look, with the incomparable style of the German brand, and Leica Vibrant Look, which also takes into account of the typical Xiaomi style). The octacore processor (3.2 GHz) Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 ensures a -30% energy consumption and a + 10% performance, kept at bay in terms of heat generated by a 2,600 mm2 vapor chamber: the LPDDR5 RAM (up to 12 GB) and UFS 3.1 storage (up to 512 GB), combine in the 12S in 8 + 128 GB (3,999 yuan, 570 euro), 8 + 256 GB (4,299 yuan, 615 euro), 12 + 256 GB (4,699 yuan, 672 euros) and 12 + 512 GB (5,199 yuan, 744 euros).
