In wearable share, Xiaomi took advantage of today’s event also to present a long-awaited and talked about wearable product, the Band 7 Pro, with a decidedly new design compared to the other “Mi band” of the Chinese brand.

Among the various products presented by Xiaomi together with the top range Xiaomi 12 Ultra, there is a fitness tracker, the Band 7 Pro, which brings several innovations compared to the basic predecessor seen last year.
The new Band 7 Pro has a waterproof chassis up to 5 atmospheres which, compared to the capsule shape adopted since 2014, opts for an almost smartwatch shape, as in the cousin Redmi Smart Band 7 Pro. Calibrated in dark gray and gold colors, with proprietary clip straps, colored in light blue, pink, black, white, green, orange, green (all around 7 euros), but also provided with a particular texture in Monet Gray and Van Gogh Green shades (around 8 euros).
The display, rectangular vertically, is a resolute 1.64-inch AMOLED at 456 x 280 pixels with 326 PPI, light sensor for automatic brightness, Always On Display, on which over 180 watch faces rotate. Sensors allow to detect stress, guiding in breathing exercises, track menstruation, sleep phases (light, deep, REM), heart rate (with alarms for too high or too low values) and oxygen saturation in the blood (SpO2, with alerts in case of too low values): the wearable also measures the maximum amount of oxygen consumed by contraction (VO2Max).
Thanks to the GPS (Beidou / Glonass / Galileo / QZSS) it is possible to track over 117 sports activities, of which 10 for running (complete with a coach), being able to take advantage of various levels (e.g. interval training at moderate intensity) and consult various metrics (such as recovery times, a comparison of anaerobic and aerobic load, and EPOC training load). In order to motivate yourself to do well, it is possible to challenge friends regarding the calories burned, the steps taken every day, etc., to earn medals.
The NFC allows contactless payments, while the microphone allows you to use the XiaoAI voice assistant: obviously, via BT, there is no shortage of notifications from the smartphone. The battery, from 235 mAh, according to the level of use, allows you to get from 6 to 12 days of autonomy. The price of the Band 7 Pro will be 379 yuan at the debut (54 euros), then brought retail to 399 yuan (57 euros).
