During a particularly rich day of announcements also by Redmi, the economic brand of Xiaomi unsheathed a hyper-cheap smartphone, the Redmi 10A, and a pair of smart bell peephole, the Smart Cat Eye 1s.
On a day in which Honor saw the mid-range X9 5G and X7 4G unveiled in advance, Xiaomi’s sub-brand, Redmi, made official, through the Xiaomi Mall store, what is a candidate to be its cheapest smartphone, as Redmi 10A, proposed in the three alternative colors black shadow, silver moonlight, and blue smoke wave.
The Redmi 10 A (164.9 × 77 × 9 mm, for 194 grams of weight) has a front that fully highlights its entry level, with evident frames and a fairly thick chin: the 5 megapixel self-camera is inserted in a water drop notch, at the head of the 6.53-inch LCD display, resolved in HD + (1600 × 720 pixels), with 60 Hz refresh rate, an aspect ratio of 20: 9, 400 nits of brightness and, for a good outdoor readability, a “sunscreen” mode.
Also attentive to the duration of the product, not surprisingly equipped with a tested (for 500 thousand times) power button, Redmi has placed on the back of the chassis, resistant to wear and able to pass drop tests, a suggestive bumper, with two concentric squares, in which the smaller one at the top left includes the mono camera, 13 megapixel (FullHD @ 30fps) and the LED Flash, while the one that incorporates it places the Redmi logo to the right and, just below, curiously, it fingerprint scanner, at your fingertips.
Still on the multimedia side, the AI 5.0 in-app camera brings the faculty of obtaining time-lapses and the recognition of 27 different scene types with automatic settings while, on the audio side, the Redmi 10A is accompanied by a high-performance speaker. power (1217) and a 3.5 mm mini-jack.
