YouTube against deepfake and AI abuse, restrictions arrive

Without a doubt YouTube today it is the best video platform on the web and this leads everyone to use it. It is also one of the essential Android applications that you need to have on your smartphone.

Clearly, great power comes with great responsibility, and the consistent popularity of this platform leads crafty people to want to take advantage of it. YouTube tries in every way to prevent this from happening and it is for this reason that new guidelines have recently been announced regarding content generated byartificial intelligence.

Several changes will therefore be made in the coming months. One of these will lead to YouTubers having to immediately disclose whether their video will contain AI-generated content.

YouTube, controls on artificial intelligence will tighten: it’s war on deepfake

Anyone who creates a video on YouTube will have to disclose whether that work includes content altered by artificial intelligence tools. For example, you could find yourself in front of a film that depicts an event that never happened but generated in a somewhat realistic manner.

The same thing could happen for content that shows someone performing an action or saying certain things that actually don’t correspond to reality. Precisely for this reason it will be necessary to communicate it from the beginning, warning users that they must not be deceived by the powerful means of AI.

Those who consistently choose not to disclose such information may be subject to certain restrictions. One of these will be the removal of contents and suspension from the program monetization of YouTube.

The changes useful for carrying out checks and making these rules official have not yet been implemented. YouTube says it will work specifically with creators to make sure they fully understand all the new guidelines. The giant intends to reserve a label specifically for each content generated with artificial intelligence, but this may not be enough.

In this regard, if the video violates the community principles, it could still be removed. This solution will be adopted especially if a video is published in which the voice of someone in particular is used to express a concept never said or thought by that person.
