Send money with PayPal

PayPal is the most famous online service for sending money to friends and relativesand can be used without problems to make a collection or ask for payment of a sum from one or more people.
PayPal

To use it, simply open a PayPal account, register your credit card (including Postepay) or associate your bank account with it, then open the app and log in with the same account registered on your PC.
If we haven’t downloaded yet the PayPal appwe can do this immediately using the links for Android and iOS (we recommend passing these links to our friends too, so that we can all immediately use the same app).

From the app we can quickly send the money by pressing the button Sendselecting the contact to whom to send the money (we can also directly enter the email associated with the PayPal account of the person who is to receive it), entering the precise sum, confirming the payment method to be used and finally pressing the button Send money. For personal transfers there are no commissions, so we will only pay the amount we intend to transfer.
If, however, we need to receive money from just one person, we press the button Request within the app, we select the contact and the amount to request and finally press on Request money.
Alternatively, press the button with the three dots at the bottom right of the app and click on Open a Money Box with friends; in this way we will be able to add more contacts and keep an accurate account of who has paid the requested sum and who has not yet paid off their debt (very useful for dividing expenses between friends or relatives).

Via Postepay

If we have a Postepay or a Postepay Evolution and our friends also have them, the fastest way to send money with a smartphone is to use the app Postepayavailable for Android and iOS.

To use the app, simply log in with your credentials from the Poste Italiane website and use one of the two buttons under the image of the card, i.e. Pay o to receive. If we need to pay for a shared gift or our share of the dinner, just press the button Pay, indicate the contact to whom you want to send the money (they must also have installed the app and their phone number must be present in the phone book), indicate the sum to be sent and confirm. If, however, we were the organizers of the dinner or pizza together, we can collect the fee from all the participants by pressing the button to receiveindicating all the contacts to include in the collection (we can also enter just the telephone numbers) and the sum to request from each: all participants will receive a notification and will be able to pay the sum immediately with two taps in the app.
Every money transfer is immediate and instantaneous it is free if less than 25 Euros (over that you pay a commission of €1).

Using Satispay

Another fast-rising app for sending money with your phone is Satispayavailable for free for Android and iOS.
Satispay

The account management system is slightly different than the other services seen so far: Satispay is linked to the current account and allows you to manage a predefined sum of money; if at the end of the week we have more money than the predefined amount, the difference will be credited to the current account; vice versa, if we are below the predefined sum, the system will bring us back to the same sum by debiting the difference from the account.
Satispay operation

Once we understand this mechanism, we will be able to use the app to pay small sums or make collections with all our friends (they must also be registered with Satispay to be able to participate).

If all our friends or relatives have a bank account, Satispay is among the best methods to pay quickly the sums of money requested or to be paid, given the ease with which it is possible to carry out the operation (completely free and without commissions!).
In addition to paying small sums and bills, with the app it is also possible to pay in participating shops, pay bills, pay the most common taxes and top up your phone.

HYPE

If we are looking for an app that is valid as an online current account, as a credit card and also as a system for quickly sending money, we can install the app HYPEdownloadable for free from the Google Play Store and the App Store.
HYPE With the HYPE app we can connect all our current accounts and cards and manage them in a single app, as well as being able to quickly send money either via bank transfer (for those who don’t use HYPE) or via instant sending to users who use HYPE as a payment app. payment.

Conclusions

To give money to friends, to pay for a collective gift or a shared “Roman-style” dinner, we recommend using one of the services described above, given that it is extremely likely that you will find the platform that everyone agrees on! There are also other similar services, but their limited diffusion in Italy could lead to slowdowns in the collection of payments or in sending the participation fee.

Unfortunately, in Italy the immediate payment functions on Google Pay and Apple Pay are not yet available: in the United States these two payment systems also allow you to send small sums of money, without having to download other apps of this type. While waiting for this function to be introduced in Italy too, we recommend using PayPal and the Postepay appcurrently the most popular and convenient to use to send and receive money from your mobile phone.
