Micromax, an emerging brand versed in low cost smartphones, has updated its price list by presenting, in India, a new low-end smartphone, animated by an almost stock experience of Android 11, represented by the Micromax In 2c (8,499 rupees or 105 euros, with a promo launch of 7,499 rupees or 92 euros).

The newcomer, conceived in the silver and brown palettes applied to a chassis just 8.6 mm thick, has a front that, apart from the drop notch at the top, and a slightly visible chin at the bottom, has overall very frames. well optimized on 3 sides, so as to give an 89% screen-to-body to the display, a 6.52-inch IPS LCD panel resolved in HD + according to an aspect ratio of 20: 9, with a peak brightness of 420 nits.

The Micromax In 2c selfiecamera reaches 5 megapixels and supports the 2D face unlock which, in the implementation made by the manufacturer, should allow the unlocking of the device in just 250 milliseconds (0.25 seconds): unfortunately, there is no physical scanner for fingerprints. The back of the smartphone is rather bare, apart from the (poorly) placed grid at the bottom right for the mono speaker and, at the top left, the traffic light pillar with 3 holes, one of which belongs to the Flash LED, while the other two they are assigned to an 8 megapixel main camera and a VGA for depth respectively. On the software side, for the benefit of the photographic sector in question, functions such as face beautification, HDR and, among others, scene recognition are implemented.

Equipped with a 3.5 mm mini-jack, the Micromax In 2c puts in command the T610 processor, a Unisoc octacore calibrated at 1.8 GHz maximum which, made at 12 nanometers and flanked by an ARM G52 GPU (+ 30% performance) , in the AnTuTu ranking it also obtained more points (+ than 200 thousand) than Qualcomm’s renowned rival Snapdragon 665: the RAM, of the LPDDR4X type, amounts to 3 GB, while the storage, eMMC 5.1, expandable via microSD, is 32 GB .

Thanks to the 5,000 mAh battery that can be charged at 10W via microUSB Type-C you get 48 days of stand-by, or more concrete 16 hours of video playback: the series of connectivity includes, in addition to the jack, the Dual SIM with 4G, the GPS , Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0.
