After having dedicated itself to monitors for stereoscopic 3D of the SpatialLabs View series, the Taiwanese group Asus has announced the (doubly) wireless version of the Delta S wired gaming headsets introduced in February 2021 by its Republic of Gamers division, also available in Italy for 199 euros with a package that also includes the 1 meter Type-C charging cable and a Type-C to Type-A adapter.

The new Asus RoG Delta S Wireless headphones resemble the wired model, with the D-shaped earpads with an ergonomic design, in order to minimize the surface in contact with the ear: under the right one, a small recess hides the removable USB dongle for 2.4 GHz WiFi connection up to 25 meters with the computer or console.

Under the left pavilion of the Asus RoG Delta S Wireless headset, near the Type-C input for charging, there are the buttons, including the switch for the connection mode (Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, unfortunately without codec loseless) and the ignition, the volume lever, and a multi-function one (pairing and management via multiple touches of the audio stream). Note that the earpads can be replaced, switching from one in synthetic leather to one covered in fabric depending on the user’s comfort (pursued also by stopping the weight at 318 grams).

The interior houses 12 ° inclined drivers, made of neodymium: these are the typical ASUS Essence 50 mm, accredited with 32 Ohm impedance, 20 – 20,000 Hz frequency response, 7.1 channel virtual surround (on PC ), of Sony’s 3D Audio, also benefiting from the Hyper-Grounding function that filters sounds from electromagnetic interference, in order to clean them but without altering their naturalness.

The two microphones, integrated and hidden, of the beamforming type, support noise cancellation via software and AI (up to 95%, with 500 million types recognized), and boast a frequency response from 100 to 10000 Hz, and a sensitivity of -37 dB. The battery, from 1,800 mAh, promises a maximum of 25 hours of autonomy, with fast charging that in a quarter of an hour allow you to add 3 hours of listening. Do not miss the RGB lighting, manageable via the Armory Crate program, from which you can also adjust the settings, the equalization and the intensity of the noise reduction.
