If you have never hidden your passion for iPhone Mini and you hoped that Apple announced a new device for that range yesterday, you will certainly have been disappointed.
The company officially stopped releasing its most compact devices after producing the 13 Mini, already giving the idea of not believing too much in the project after the first releases. This series, initially launched in 2020, was designed for those who wanted to return to the days of phones that had a diagonal of less than 6 inches.
Virtually nothing was missing compared to the basic range models, the only difference was the form factor. This allowed the phone to be held much easier in the hand, with a firmer grip. After a few years, however, Apple has officially raised the white flag: the brand he gives up and it no longer continues in that direction.
Apple abandons the Mini definitively, dismantling the range after two editions
On the occasion of the line iPhone 12 and the next iPhone 13, Apple had released a Mini device. With the iPhone 14, however, this new habit was suddenly interrupted, also due to the lack of response in terms of sales.
The compact smartphone that was thought to be liked by many, has been replaced since last year by the version Plustherefore even larger than the basic model.
After the presentation of the new iPhone 15, Apple has therefore given confirmation: no more compact devices on the store. The 13 Mini is no more and it’s official. The only small-sized smartphone on the Apple market is the SE, but it has nothing to do with the high-end ranges.
Going forward, it therefore seems that the future of compact devices is already written: no one wants them anymore. By now almost everyone is used to the big screen, perhaps also thanks to the habit of recent years. After all, after this farewell, we are certain that not many will be affected.
