ASUS brings a very useful feature of Pixels to smartphones

From the very first device, Google has chosen to offer exclusive features or simply prioritize certain updates to devices Pixel. Precisely on the latter, users are used to noticing the novelties of each version of Android, and then waiting for their implementation by other brands.

This is the functionality of “URL sharing from the recent menu“. The company, fresh from the launch of its new top of the range ZenFone 10, would have chosen to equip only some of its devices with the exclusive Google Pixel feature. These are those who have received Android 13 and the new ZenUI.

The new feature introduced by ASUS is articulated in the same way seen on the Google Pixels. Just look at a content for example on a site opened on Chrome. At that point, swiping from the bottom to open the menu recent appswill appear at the top right an icon.

By choosing sharing, a new window will open from below that will allow the action through any app: WhatsApp and Instagram are also included. Quick sharing with nearby devices is not excluded.

At least for now, ASUS devices limit the functionality to Google Maps, Google Chrome, and YouTube only.

This could be the right occasion for other brands to decide to adopt this feature which offers extreme utility. At the moment, however, there is no news regarding other smartphone manufacturers who intend to integrate it into their interfaces.
