The video published on Instagram by Mark Zuckerberg regarding theApple Vision Pro. That of the CEO of Meta could be understood as a sort of review of the first mixed reality viewer of the Cupertino company, which – for a series of reasons listed by the American entrepreneur – would have no chance of “victory” against the Meta Quest 3.
Both for the topic covered and for the person in the center of the frame, the clip quickly went around the web and, for many users, brought to mind a now famous interview with then Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer. The latter, as many will probably remember, greeted with a sarcastic laugh and openly mocked the iPhone (we are in 2007), judging it a device with no future because it is too expensive ($500) and inconvenient for business users due toabsence of a physical keyboard.
The rest is history, e.g Ballmer himself later declared himself repentant of not having given proper weight to the innovation that the iPhone brought with it (the user interface, for example) and to the business model designed by Apple to allow almost everyone to purchase the device through small monthly installments included in the phone bill.

In his video released via Instagram, Mark Zuckerberg wants to bring users’ attention what in his opinion would be the defects of the Vision Promainly the excessive cost (it starts at $3,500), the weight of the device itself and the wired external battery.
These problems, if they can be defined as such, do not belong to the Meta Quest 3which according to the CEO of the US tech giant it is clearly superior to the product launched by the competition just a few weeks ago.
On social media, mainly has made a gigantic mistake, demonstrating lack of professionalism and little flair. Just like Ballmer.
Many are pointing out how the Vision Pro, although not perfect, fits perfectly into the Apple ecosystem and how far ahead it is compared to any competing product not only in terms of the number of apps available, but also and above all in terms of hardware and software quality.
