What makes this service particularly interesting is an announcement yesterday, namely the introduction of CodeLLMwhich will allow you to provide results for programming queries.
CodeLLM is an Artificial Intelligence-based system that can provide answers that include code snippets, complete with detailed explanations. Using this powerful tool, ideal for novice programmers, is completely free and already integrated into Brave Search.
Apparently the technology behind CodeLLM is Mixtraland LLM which is activated by using text instructions to generate code.

The Brave team itself wanted to explain how the tool works by specifying how it automatically detects programming-related queries, without the need for special commands from the user.
Furthermore, in a post on the official blog, it is clarified as “In addition to the search results, if an answer is possible, there will be a widget to trigger the CodeLLM answer. Detection of programming queries occurs outside of the LLM, by other search components (similar to those capable of detecting weather queries, queries that lend themselves well to being summarized, stock price queries, etc.)”.
This is not Brave’s first approach to AI given the introduction, a couple of months ago, of his assistant Leo, based on Llama 2 e Claude LLM Of Anthropic.
Brave Search is an alternative to the most famous search engines that is gaining widespread acceptance among users. Two years after its launch, it can boast over 60 million users and an average number of daily queries of around 25 million.
