According to what was discovered by Telegram channel Flags & Leaks di GAppsGoogle would be working on two new features for theapp Gmail are Android.
Although these features are currently hidden and can only be activated via specific flags, the possibility that they could be introduced in the coming weeks is quite high. But what are we talking about?
The first is function Manage subscriptions in the side menu. The aforementioned channel showed how this feature, once activated, opens a loading screen, which however does not reveal anything particular. Although the screen does not reveal anything interesting, it is expected that this will concern the management of subscriptions to the newsletter.
In this sense, the proposal to users of a sort of “centralized platform” to be able to view and cancel any subscriptions is foreseeable.

The second implementation of Gmail on Android should concern the addition of the entry to the menu, accessible through the three points available within an email Report illegal content. This should appear just below the existing option Report as spam.
The new option should allow users to access a page to report content that violates the law, although in the future this could evolve into something more complex than a Web page, probably with a form to fill out.
Both of these features should be available in the version 2023.12.31.597022975 of Gmail. Despite this, it is fundamental that at the moment, both functions can only be activated through specific flags and that they are not available to all users.
Since they have not been announced by Google, it is also not certain that they will actually be integrated with the app. In fact, all that remains is to wait for the next updates on Play Store to see if the implementation will be effective and for all users.
