Google, the patent to make typing more precise and eliminate errors

Google Keyboard patent

Google’s attention to writing and in particular to typing using the virtual keyboards of smartphones has always been maximum. The Mountain View company wants to improve this aspect in every way and to reveal it would be the delivery of a new patent.

The latter would address a very common problem, namely that of typing errors while typing on smartphones. The comfort of an ideal keyboard doesn’t apply to small screens on mobile devices, although their sizes have increased in recent years. This therefore leads users to often make typing errors and consequently to make the necessary corrections.

All this can certainly become annoying, especially when it comes to recurring errors. Within the new patent, Google would have proposed some language models e spatial to be used to predict the next most likely keystrokes. As for the spatial model, this will take advantage of a heat map that will capture previous touch inputs that the user has made.

The linguistic model instead will analyze the sequence of the aforementioned tactile inputs and will focus on comparing the current position with one or more subsequent keys in anticipation. So comparing the actual position of the touch with the on-screen keys that could be chosen, there will be a clear improvement.

Google would also be thinking of one new keyboard layoutfocusing exclusively on the space bar. This choice will allow you to distinguish it from the rest of the keys, avoiding accidental presses.
