Google tests the bottom search bar in its Android app

The application of Google is known by all as the app par excellence useful for testing what it means to have a direct search engine for your Android smartphones. It’s already installed on virtually every Android flagship sold outside of China and is part of the Google Mobile Services (GMS) suite of apps.

This is a very important application that gives the user a direct experience with what Google actually is, that is, a very powerful means of searching for anything.

The app also offers a default widget on the home screen. Now all this could become even easier to use following some updates that the company is preparing to implement.

Google wants to move its app’s search bar to the bottom

Some users have noted that Google would moved the position of the search bar with the arrival of the new version 14.48.26.29 of the app. The bar is now at the bottom instead of the top; a choice that could make a lot of sense.

Moving the search bar to the bottom is a much bigger change than many might believe at first glance. By holding the bar on the lower side, this will be much easier to reach on every smartphone.

Furthermore, it is a simple admission that mobile devices have become too big to have a bar at the top. Moving the bar down would therefore allow users to reach it more easily much easierthus having a better experience.

Actually too Chrome are iOS continues to have a URL search bar at the bottom, while Chrome on Android has not yet succumbed to this novelty. It is therefore hoped that this change, now imminent, will also arrive soon for Chrome. The update should arrive soon for many more users beyond those who are using the beta version.
