It is undeniable that the curiosity of the tech community has so far been fueled by the potential in the entertainment field. However, Apple has often underlined how much the Vision Pro is a viewer capable of also revolutionize the way we work, and the concept was reiterated in more detail with a press release released in these hours. The mixed reality viewer, explains the Cupertino giant, is also a business tool and many companies have already adopted it to increase and improve productivity. Among these there are also Porsche e Microsoft.

In the press release, Apple lists many companies that have decided to integrate Vision Pro into your activitiesbut mainly focuses on seven of them, such as Porsche, KLM and Microsoft.

«Spatial computing has allowed us to rethink how professionals can be productive and work intelligently with the power of artificial intelligence. With Microsoft 365 and Teams on Apple Vision Pro, the office moves with you, allowing you to view apps side by side on an infinite canvas for incredible multitasking and a level of collaboration never seen before», commented Nicole Herskowitz, VP of Microsoft 365 and Teams.

But if Microsoft has created apps that users can use for personal and/or business purposes, there are also some companies that have created software for internal use only.

Among these is the KLM Royal Dutch Airlines, which uses the Apple headset for technical maintenance and aerial operations. Technicians, for example, train on the latest engine models using AR and receive detailed repair instructions overlaid on what they see.

«Training our employees with spatial computing will lead to fewer errors because the most up-to-date information they need to do their jobs is right there in front of them as they perform their task. This means that we not only become much more efficient in our work, but also form a better working environment where our employees can successfully carry out their tasks», explained Bob Tulleken from KLM.
