How to recover accidentally deleted photos or videos on Android

This way the content will come back automatically to its original position. The Google Photos Trash holds deleted images and videos for a while maximum of 30 days. if not backed up. If automatic backup is set, the files will be permanently deleted after 60 days.

Other methods to recover a deleted photo on Android

The diverse procedure that allow you to recover a deleted photo on Android vary depending on the operating system o al device in use. This is the case for example of smartphones Samsung Galaxy and their dedicated app Galleria.

To recover a deleted photo with Gallery you need to open the app. So you have to faretap on the Menu buttonrepresented by an icon showing three horizontal lines.

From here you have to select the Recycle Binselect the photo to recover and finally tap on button named Reset. The recovery procedure will be confirmed by the appearance of a popup. The Basket of the Samsung Gallery app retains deleted content for a maximum of 30 days.

The process described in the previous paragraphs is roughly the same to follow to recover a deleted photo on other storage apps: for example Dropbox o OneDrive. And usually the Basket of this kind of app retains deleted material for a period of time time that varies between 30 and 60 days.

On the contrary, the process changes radically if you try to recover photos from a device Android restored to factory data. In this case it is advisable to return to the app Google Photo and try to unlock a backup saved previously.
