1) Find out if a person has our number on Android

To find out if a person has our number on Android we open WhatsApp on our phone, press on the icon with three dots at the top and select on New Broadcast. In the list of people to include in the broadcast; this function is similar to the group except for the fact that only we receive the answers from others.

After adding the person or people to check, press the “i” icon to open the “message info” screen and check whether the message has already been read or delivered.

At this point, the name of the person who has our number will appear below the lists Delivered to o Read by; if some of the numbers we added do not appear, it means that they do not have our number in their contact list.

This happens because broadcasts can only be received by people who have our number saved in their address bookwhile everyone else will receive nothing from the broadcast.

2) Find out if a person has our number on iPhone

The same procedure can be repeated using an iPhone. After installing the WhatsApp app, open it and press on the menu Chatlet’s press on Liste broadcast and then on New list.

Exactly as seen on Android, we add the telephone numbers of people who we suspect do not have our number in the address book, then press the “i” icon to see who receives broadcast messages and who never receives them.
