Instagram is testing a feature to decide who can see your likes

The entire year 2023 was spent by Meta with the aim of making its platforms increasingly performing. Users have seen many updates arriving that are capable of surprising both for their content and for their multitude. Now almost once a week, applications like WhatsApp and above all Instagram they have been updated and improved further.

The app with the icon in the shape of a photographic lens seems ready to introduce several other new features. In fact, Instagram itself is planning an update in particular, which is also very useful for the privacy of its users.

The app will allow users to select contacts capable of see who liked your posts or reels. This new feature now in the pipeline aims to increase privacy and also improve engagement.

Instagram, you will now be able to choose the users who will be able to see who has “liked” your posts

Two new screenshots taken within a beta version of Instagram confirm that the new feature will offer four different options for users to choose from. Only one of the four possibilities can be used unless Instagram decides to change things when the new feature is available to everyone.

But now let’s stop talking and let’s find out what these four options consist of. The first allows everyone to see the likes, just as usual. Choosing the second possibility instead, only those you follow they will be able to peek at the names of your “likers”, while the third, only at the closest friends. The fourth, as you can imagine, instead it doesn’t allow anyone to see who likes you.

This is therefore a great update, useful for making the social application even more discreet. Obviously it’s difficult to predict when the update will officially arrive for everyone but it shouldn’t be long.
