iPhone 15 all with the Dynamic Island, the pros and cons

Many users, regardless of the part they are playing between operating systems, have appreciated the Dynamic Island. Apple’s big introduction with the current iPhone 14 Pro and Pro Max is trying in every way to change the way running applications are displayed, especially in the background.

In fact, everyone was amazed during the presentation almost a year ago of this feature that made it possible to replace the never so loved one notch. The launch of the novelty was embellished by a detail: no indiscretions about it arrived, with the public remaining ecstatic.

Now, almost a year later, there is talk of the introduction of the Dynamic Island also on the range iPhone 15, this time in full. In fact, the 15 and 15 Plus models will also host it but there are many questions that people are asking. Will it be useful? Is that a good reason to upgrade from an older iPhone? Probably not.

iPhone 15 and the Dynamic Island, what’s good and what’s not

Starting from all the negative aspects of Dynamic Island, it must be assessed that its use is not that easy. The intuitiveness that Apple promised is not so strong: it is too high up and is difficult to reach with one hand.

Someone hoped that with software updates it would also be a useful solution for games and videos, but that wasn’t the case. It should be emphasized that app developers should also work in this direction.

Even the aesthetic aspect could then be less surprising than what many believe: being a portion totally detached from the frames, compared to the notch for example, it makes its presence stand out much more, giving discontinuity to the display design.

Of course, there are many aspects that instead lead us to think that it could be a clear improvement. Having an unusable and exclusively stylistic portion of the screen like the notch is less useful than having one like the Dynamic Island which perhaps indicates info or allows the user to quickly return to an app in the background.

There are several titles that in fact integrate perfectly with this feature now characteristic of the iPhone. We’ll see what the reactions to the launch will be and above all the experience after the first months of use.
