iPhone 15, no Ultra: the top of the range will be called Pro Max

When the leaks concerning Apple they come from some leakers in particular, it is difficult to deny them. This is the case of many rumors that during the last few weeks have arrived especially on Twitter/X regarding the upcoming ones iPhone 15.

Just today, however, Mark Gurman, a professional leaker, wrote a new article where he provides all the latest details on what you can expect from the event Wonderlust which Apple will hold tomorrow at 19.

Inside the piece, one of the most important rumors relating to the new iPhones is denied: the absolute top of the range will not be called 15 Ultra, but still Pro Max. It is now certain: the Cupertino company will follow the line adopted in recent years.

iPhone 15 coming soon, no Ultra: the absolute top will still be a Pro Max

Given the great reliability Gurman enjoys, everyone is inclined to believe him. In reality there is little to be surprised about in this regard, given that, after all, it would not have made so much sense to rename “Ultra” what will once again be a Pro Max.

In fact, the new iPhone 15 series will not surprise you with the great innovations that will be integrated. For this reason, a new name would be expected for a much more innovative range, perhaps that of iPhone 16 in 2024.

Another situation that surprises and not a little is the total absence within Gurman’s piece of a mention of periscope camera much talked about until today. The analyst in fact speaks of a system based on a updated telephoto lenswithout therefore providing any information regarding a periscope.

Many have therefore raised alarm bells: what if the new iPhone 15 Pro Max was not equipped with this innovation? In fact, many believe that in this case it would be a big flop. In fact, all the top of the range rivals are equipped with a periscope and a choice that does not go in this direction would leave Apple inexorably behind.
