More specifically, it emerged that Apple is working on a Game Mode for iOS and iPadOS.

To be more precise, the same ones have been added in iOS 17 Beta 4 framework related to macOS Sonoma gaming mode. It is true that iOS and macOS share some code due to universal apps, but Apple has never officially talked about a Game Mode for iPhone and iPad.

The recent discovery seems to hint that Apple is experimenting with ways to improve the performance of your mobile devices when a gaming session is in progress. When Game Mode is active, hardware resources are used up for the game to run more smoothly.
