In recent days it has been presented to CES 2024 a new and interesting tool, called Generative AIto generate images AI integrated into the platform iStock.

The service, which provides a huge database of photographs, has made use of the prestigious collaboration of NVIDIA Picasso to offer users this new functionality.

Generative AI aims to provide companies and designers with a tool capable of creating ready-to-use images on command, complete with legal copyright protection. As reported on the iStock website, in fact, the same service offers insurance coverage for a maximum of $10,000 on every single image generated.

To feed AI databases Getty Images (company that owns iStock) was able to draw on its vast library, which boasts a huge number of photos, illustrations and videos. On a purely practical level, Generative AI works in a similar way to other similar tools, with textual instructions entered into a specific field to generate images with a resolution up to 4K.

However, the introduction of the AI-related tool is not the only news for iStock users. Getty Images, in fact, also announced the introduction of advanced functions such as inpainting e outpainting. These, also available as APIthey will be usable to intervene effectively on images, adding people and objects with ultra-realistic results.

The application of the AI ​​tool and API opens up very interesting scenarios. In fact, the images obtained can in turn be used for further training AI modelsor to create unique content, suitable for various professional contexts.

Generative AI allows you to generate four commercial images through text prompts, with a monthly limit of 100 entries. All for a subscription from 14.99 euros per month.

This new tool adds to the vast array of tools for generating images via AI, such as the already established ones FROM-E 3 e Midjourney.
