Meta working to introduce cross-posting between Threads and Facebook

After the launch of Threads and the record numbers recorded in the following weeks, the new platform Meta seems to have lost its verve.

To relaunch the social network, created with the clear intention of competing for users X (once known as Twitter), Meta’s latest move seems to be to rely on the introduction of cross-posting with Facebook.

According to some rumors, Mark Zuckerberg’s company would be ready to implement this innovation simultaneously, on both platforms, imitating what happened previously with Facebook and Instagram.

The introduction should make the work of content creators more fluid who, in fact, by posting material on one of the two services could make it available on both social networks. Furthermore, this could tie Threads more closely to the Meta ecosystem (which matters almost 4 billion users), offering new lifeblood to the service.

Cross-posting with Facebook: new lifeblood for Threads

According to what has been leaked so far, a first test of the cross-posting system could be tested in context iOSwith an area that it would not interest Europe at the moment.

It is not the first time that Meta has tried to entice users of its services to interact with Threads. With the social network’s launch last summer, Meta sought to push Threads through automatic user connections with followed profiles and Instagram friends. All this was useful in quickly creating an expanded network of users, with initially more than encouraging numbers given that we are talking about 100 million users in five days.

Despite the still positive numbers (in the last quarter there was talk of 130 million monthly active users) Threads has slowed down its pace and, apparently, Meta seems to intend to look for other ways to conquer an ever-larger share of the market.

Threads and Instagram recently decided to no longer offer political content from accounts that are not directly followed by users.
