According to the updated Microsoft Edge support documentation, in fact, the browser now offers 5 GB of free data instead of the previous single Giga. Simply sign in with a Microsoft account to the CloudFlare powered VPN via Microsoft Edge Secure Network, And that’s it. The identity of your account is never shared with the service provider, while the synchronization will remain active.
Thanks to the latter, users will be able to save browsing history, bookmarks, settings, form filling data, passwords, extensions, open tabs and collections, and much more so that the user experience with or without VPN remain the same. Nevertheless, it should be noted that Edge VPN it is not an always active solution: Microsoft only enables it as an extra security measure when you visit an unsecured HTTP website or use an open Wi-Fi network, so your device stays safe at all times.
To use a VPN service within streaming platforms or to navigate from specific locations, therefore, it is still advisable to purchase an ad hoc subscription through one of the many apps available on the market.
