Mijia Robot Vacuum Cleaner 3C: Xiaomi's new floor cleaning robot is official

After the launch of a washing machine and a smart fridge, the collaboration between Xiaomi and the historical partner Mijia has given rise to a new fruit in the home automation field, resulting in the unprecedented Mijia Robot Vacuum Cleaner 3C floor cleaning robot.

The latter adopts LDS laser technology, as can be seen from the canonical turret, to map the home environment at 360 °, drawing up accurate maps with attached obstacles: in addition, there are various sensors that minimize the danger of falls or collision with obstacles in particularly complex environments. The interior houses a brushless motor which, thanks to its power of 4,000 Pa and brushes that simulate manual cleaning, is able to capture all types of dust and microparticles without releasing them back into the air and, indeed, storing the dirt in a special tank.

In the two-in-one perspective of the Mijia Robot Vacuum Cleaner 3C, there is also a tank for water, electronically managed in a smart way, so as not to waste it or to leave the floor too wet given that the liquid, in essence, is released evenly over the entire surface to be cleaned.

In making use of these components, the Mijia Robot Vacuum Cleaner 3C can try its hand at different types of cleaning, with the user being able to plan an “arc” cleaning, indicated for its degree of efficiency, or a “Y” one, indicated for treating stains, as it simulates a manual cleaning with repeated steps in two directions.

From a smart perspective, the new Mijia Robot Vacuum Cleaner 3C can be controlled both remotely, using the Mijia app, and in person, by relying on the voice commands forwarded to Xiaomi’s XiaoAI assistant: at the moment it is possible to buy it, in the Chinese domestic market, at the introductory price of 1,199 yuan (approximately 185 euros) but, once the promotion has expired, its price list goes up to 1,299 yuan (approximately 185 euros).
