The mode Quick Phrases officially arrives on Pixel Buds Pro, Google’s wireless earphones. These quick phrases allow you to perform actions on alarms/timers e calls without first having to say “Cow Google”. As reported on the official Google support page: “with Quick Phrases on Google Pixel Buds Pro you can answer or reject a phone call hands-free by simply saying ‘Answer’ or ‘Reject’ when you receive an incoming call. We’re also continuing to expand Quick Phrases to other Assistant features currently available on Google Pixel 6 and later”. Quick Phrases support is available in six languages diverse: English, French, tedesco, Europen, Japanese e Spanishwith more “on the way”.
Pixel Buds Pro: come attivare le Quick Phrases su Pixel
Activating Quick Phrases on Pixel Buds Pro is very simple. Just go to the smartphone settingssearch for Google Assistant, select the new Quick Phrases section and activate the switch under “Incoming calls”, “Wakes up” o “Timer”. However, it must be remembered that, at least for the moment, this new function is not used to start any action, but only to “complete” them (it is not possible to execute a command such as “Call…” or “Set alarm for 7.30”). Everything is limited to accept or reject calls coming, snooze the alarm by saying the word “snooze” or stop a timer by simply saying “stop”.
This new feature of Pixel Buds Pro is a time saver, but it also features disadvantages. First of all, it is very limited compared to the actions that can be performed by first saying “Hey Google”. Secondly, if you talk to someone and they pronounce similar words to Quick Phrases commands, these could activate involuntarily. To date, this feature is only compatible with smartphones Google Pixel. However, in the near future it is possible that Quick Phrases may also be released for non-Pixel devicesperhaps with new commands that manage to improve user experience and make this function even more useful.
