Cybernewsin collaboration with the site SecurityDiscovery.comhas located a huge database online that contains a huge amount of data, equal to 12 TB for a total of 26 billion documents, the result of a massive theft of information. In fact, it is the largest archive of its kind ever discovered.
We are talking about a real collection made up of thousands of personal information. A database that was most likely assembled by a cybercriminalegive one broker in dati or a similar figure.
According to what has been leaked, much of the information that makes up the archive concerns the Chinese messaging app Tencent QQ but, this long list includes various software and platforms, which are also very widespread in the West.
Among the names that, despite themselves, are somehow connected to the database, are X, LinkedIn, Deezer, Canva, Telegram, Dropbox and many others. If all that wasn’t enough, some government documents also appeared in the archive.

According to what was revealed, the collection of information includes documents relating to government agencies of United States, Germania, Brazil and other countries.
As you might imagine, these 12 TB of data are a real gold mine for cybercriminals. The possibility of aggregating the data present can in fact facilitate illegal actions such as identity theft e truffe phishing. All without considering that, within this sea of data, they are obviously also present sensitive credentials.
Despite all this, there are positive sides. What is contained in this enormous archive has most likely already been widely exploited by cybercriminals: this means that many of the cyber attacks in recent months can be traced back to this database. Not only that: of the 26 billion documents present, a good part appear to be duplicates.
In any case, given the extent of what was discovered, it is advisable for any user who has accounts on the aforementioned platforms to review their defensive strategies.
