According to what we learn, the clamshell foldable could be equipped with the chip Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and it could come with a variant from 12 GB of RAM, a significant upgrade compared to the Z Flip5 which was presented with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and with 8 GB of RAM.
One of the updates mentioned by the source, extremely reliable in the mobile world, concerns the use of Corning Gorilla Armor for the external screen, exactly the same as seen on the new Galaxy S24 Ultra. There is a clear increase in scratch resistance and also the impact of the anti-reflection effect.
The rumors also speak of larger displays, with the external one measuring up to 3,9″. As for the internal panel, Samsung would have thought of a smaller size 6,7″also improving the zipper.
The South Korean company would also have in mind to implement a main camera on the Flip6 50 MP and a secondary sensor from 12 MP. Finally, the source speaks of a clear upgrade in terms of autonomy: the battery should in fact bring its capacity to 4.000 mAha clear step forward compared to the 3,700 mAh of the previous model.
This improvement could potentially solve one of the most critical aspects of the Z Flip series, namely battery life.
