Putting aside, for now, the Reactions, granted in tests to some users, WhatsApp immediately dedicated itself to something else, as can be seen with what has been revealed in the most recent beta made available on the one hand for iOS and on the other for Android.
Launched (for a few users) the roll-out of the Reactions, the famous WhatsApp messaging has dedicated itself to the release of other news, ecumenically divided between a beta for iOS and one for Android, both fully analyzed by the WABetaInfo leakers always ready to track them the functionalities.
In the case of iOS, with the beta release 22.6.0.74 routed via TestFlight, the revised interface is distributed to more users (compared to those who had warned in the experimental release 22.6.0.73 and, in some cases, even in stable versions) for the contact information of normal users, corporate users, and even group information. According to what emerged, if the novelty in question is not evident, it will be necessary to wait a little, but not too long, since it should arrive for everyone within 24 hours, with the forecast, according to the aforementioned insiders, that stable users they would benefit “soon”.
About three weeks ago, on the occasion of the beta release 2.22.6.7 for Android, WhatsApp released to some users the possibility of pausing and resuming the recording of voice messages: later, it is not known why, with the 2.22 release. 8.3 the functionality in question was withdrawn. Now, with the new release 2.22.8.4, that feature has been restored for some beta testers, with others expected to get involved in the next updates.
Still, with the same release, code number 2.22.8.4, WhatsApp is curiously withdrawing a function previously introduced, with the beta version 2.22.5.11 for Android: this is the preview that was generated when sharing photos and videos as documents. On that occasion, it was noticed how – despite the introduction of this preview for photos and videos shared as documents – the preview of classic documents (e.g. PDFs) had disappeared, replaced by a generic icon, so that some users complained less usefulness of the “improvement”.
At the moment, for the feature trackers of WABetaInfo it is not clear whether the functional withdrawal encountered with the beta 2.22.8.4 is somehow connected to what was complained about the 2.22.5.11.
