Apple’s 2024 has not yet come into full swing but the Cupertino giant’s catalog has already received a update. The new entry is in fact the MacBook Air con chip M3a notebook with superior performance (compared to the previous model) and which, according to the Californian company, guarantees a perfect user experience in activities where the use of generative AI is expected.

The new laptop – available in 13 and 15 inch versions respectively – has officially started the dance and the Apple price list should soon accommodate other new Macs equipped with the M3 processor (with related variations). Yes, but which ones? Obviously, the MacBook Pro should be excluded, to which Tim Cook and company “gifted” the M3 already in November, with the surprise Halloween event.

Mac M3: which ones will debut in 2024?

Mac Mini

Apple presented the Mac Mini with M2 and M2 Pro in January 2023, more than a year ago then. According to Mark Gurman of Bloomberga new compact desktop computer will not be presented before the end of 2024. A hypothesis that finds support in Apple’s recent past: 26 months elapsed between the Mac Mini M1 and the Mac Mini M2.

And so, calendar in hand, the next generation of computers in small format it could see the light in 2025, with the M4 chip on board.

Mac Studio

Together with the aforementioned Mac Studio, the Mac Pro was updated in June 2023, on the occasion of the WWCD23. Currently the computer is only available in the configuration with M2 Ultra. Barring any surprises, the next generation will also only use an Ultra series processor.

According to Gurman, the Cupertino giant will present the device for professionals in mid-2024.
