Windows 11, Moment 3 is here: new Patch Tuesday enable feature

The attention of Windows 11 users in these hours has been focused entirely on the latest updates available, thanks to the announcement of the end of support for Windows 11 21H2 starting from October 2023. Microsoft has already begun to invite users to make the switch to the 22H2 version with all the latest news, including security fixes, and just the day after the communication it decided to release the July 2023 Patch Tuesday. Let’s see what’s new in the latest mandatory cumulative patch for Windows 11.

Windows 11 updates: what changes?

As taken up by the colleagues of Bleeping Computer, the cumulative update of July 2023 includes first of all a total of 132 security fixes, of which 6 zero-day vulnerabilities (fortunately only one is actively exploited by online criminals) and even 37 holes that allow the execution of malicious code remotely without user input. Needless to reiterate, therefore, that this patch is crucial to protect yourself from any cyberattacks.

Apart from these changes, there are new features such as the USB4 hub and devices settings page, the addition of seconds to the clock located in the system tray, and the ability to copy the codes for two-factor authentication directly from the app notification bar.

This feature, of course, does not concern Microsoft OneDrive and the folders associated with that service as its approach to sharing archived files is different.
