Windows 11, update for February 2024: what will be new?

As reported by Windows Centralduring the next month of February Windows 11 should get a new update.

In fact, this is the fifth upgrade in the category Moment, which should involve the introduction of some features not included in the major annual updates. According to rumors, a first preview version of the package should be available towards the end of the month, with the actual Moment 5 available from the beginning of March. But what will be new compared to the past?

In reality we are not talking about anything that can be considered particularly revolutionary. There is talk of some improvements in the use of stylewith the possibility of writing directly in the text fields with the pen.

Another area that could be improved is Voice Accesswith the introduction of new voice shortcuts, complete with customizable controls. To this, one should also add the multi-monitor support.

Moment 5 and Windows 11: from stylus improvements to the ability to uninstall Edge

Moment 5 could also include another interesting small change, namely the introduction of a character count for the Block notes.

Another interesting novelty is the one linked to the possibility of uninstall Edge browser from Windows 11. This choice is dictated by the new regulations relating to European Economic Area (SEE). For the same reason, users should be given the option to delete Bing from the search box of taskbar.

It appears that Windows will also take advantage of this update package to introduce an option that allows the user to exclude news feeds dal widget panel.

Although some of these possible introductions appear quite plausible, there has not yet been any official statement on the matter from Microsoft. So, we just have to wait to try to understand how Windows 11 will change in the coming months.

According to common opinion, this could be the last Moment update before the new generation version of Windows is launched on the market in 2024. In this sense, there are already those who are talking about Windows 12or in any case of a totally revolutionized OS, but we are certainly talking about big changes ahead for users.
