Windows 12 concept video makes W11 look ancient and boring

There is still nothing official regarding that Windows 12, since Microsoft has not yet commented on the matter. Following the roadmap, up to now fully respected even with the updates, the Redmond giant would be in time: the new operating system could arrive in the autumn of 2024.

At the moment, all you can do is imagine what the next version of the most used software in the world will be like. Someone hypothesizes that it could even change its name, but that’s another story. Currently the only news we have about Windows 12 concern the probable integration of a new one lock screen and a new one control center for notifications.

But what would all these innovations look like if they were applied to reality? The news of the day would have brought a new one to the headlines video which would depict a concept of Microsoft’s next OS. What would stand out would be the futuristic and innovative design, even compared to the latest Windows 11.

Within the video, which we remember is only a sort of project based on some indiscretion, the first thing that catches the eye is the start menu. The latter seems to be sort of fusion of those seen on Windows 10 and 11 – it is equipped with the effect transparency and is centered as on the current operating system. Inside there is a section that calls up recent items by simply scrolling.

Section too widget of Windows 11 is revisited: in the concept in question the elements can be dragged and dropped on the desktop, as well as organized within the panel, bringing back the memory of live tiles of Windows 10, this time without ads and MSN feed.

At a certain point in the video, which you can watch above, a sort of app launcher appears which would be a real innovation.

In short, Windows 11 seems almost boring in comparison but it must be reiterated that the movie is only a concept. We will have to wait a few more months to get more certain information on Windows 12.
