Xiaomi Redmi 12 5G: because a budget phone is so talked about

The proliferation of 5G in global markets it is there for all to see, and it is therefore important for companies to propose solutions that are perfectly compatible with this cellular technology. To hit the target, Xiaomi has launched the Redmi 12 5Gthe world’s first smartphone with a processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2.

Xiaomi Redmi 12 5G - technical specifications

The real novelty of the entry-level smartphone is, as mentioned, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC. In reality, compared to the previous generation there is not much to report, if not the transition from the TSMC production process to 6nm to that of Samsung at 4nm. In short, performance improves, but one certainly cannot cry out for a miracle. An advantage, however, is in the support of 5G, certainly more stable and reliable.

The rest of the data sheet is still interesting for the Xiaomi smartphone with a starting price around $145. 4/6/8GB RAM memory, 128/256GB internal storage expandable with microSD, 5000mAh battery and 18W fast charging support.

The display is a 6.79-inch Full HD+ LCD with 90Hz refresh rate. Corning Gorilla Glass is on both the front and back. Then we find the USB-C for charging, the IP53 certification and also the 3.5mm jack port to connect wired earphones and other peripherals.
