Android 14 and Pixel: urgent update for owners

Google has released a new one security update per Android 14with particular focus on a series of vulnerabilities that appear to affect smartphones Pixel.

The latest version of the operating system, currently available for the aforementioned products, would have revealed some exploits considered to be high level and able to give cybercriminals a lot of room to maneuver when it comes to device privileges.

As is easy to imagine, this type of concession can be dangerous from several points of view: from the possible malware installation until the theft of personal data of the unsuspecting victim.

From what transpires from the Google site, there is talk of at least a dozen problems related to safety. The same, through the May update relating to Android 14, should be eliminated completely.

Some of the flaws appear to be somehow related to the framework of the operating system although, to avoid massive exploitation of the exploits, Google has not released further details. The diffusion of the update released on Monday will be effective in the next few days, with gradual coverage in various areas of the world.

Taking the opportunity of this update, Google has also included some fixes regarding known issues related to the camera et al Bluetooth of their phones.

That this operating system is one of the favorites of cybercriminals is certainly nothing new. Just think about it last month of Decemberand in which, according to estimates, Google has remedied around a hundred flaws identified on Android. Even more recently it was Microsoft to report a dangerous exploit in this context, namely the vulnerability known as Dirty Stream.

In contexts like those just listed, the only real weapon available to the user is update as soon as possible your smartphone.
