Until 10 years ago, it was very simple to play: you just had to buy a title, digitally or in its physical format, insert it into the console and play comfortably on the sofa at home without too many thoughts. But over time, things have changed.

Recently, the 1.03 update for Kingdom Hearts on Nintendo Switch led to a curious event, in fact, you can play streaming through the game’s cloud but with a rather particular situation. In fact, the game system advises users not to perform this function, and to play normally as they have done up to now, or to try their hand at the titles you have already purchased.

The current update, released on May 14, 2022, has seen an update for all chapters of the Kingdom Hearts saga, which will allow players to receive two new features called “Priority to performance” and “Priority to graphics quality”.

The aforementioned settings can be selected before starting to play, allowing the user to focus on one version rather than the other, enjoying higher graphics quality or on a more stable image framerate. However, the second function of the update is aimed at the chapters of the Kingdom Hearts saga streaming on the cloud for Switch. The problem is that when we start the game streaming on the cloud with Priority to graphics quality, the system warns us of a “server congestion” that could occur in the title.

This feature allows all players to know if it is possible to play their favorite titles in streaming, to avoid that the saves can be lost for some problem allowing you to play anywhere at any time. But this new form of playing is still in its infancy, just think of the services presented by Google with Stadia or Amazon with Amazon Luna, so let’s see how the events will develop.
