After the untimely anticipation by its Brazilian division, Zepp Health, a Chinese brand versed in smartwatches and in the past partner of Xiaomi for wearables, has officially raised the curtain on smartwatches, “different twins”, Amazfit Bit 3 and Bip 3 Pro .

The Amazfit Bip 3, customized in black, blue and pink, and the Amazfit Bit 3 Pro, launched in black, cream and pink, are priced on Amazon respectively at 59.99 dollars (about 56 euros) and 69.99 dollars (66 euros). , like the Bip U and Bip U Pro models, compared to which, however, having no microphone, they do not support Alexa. For the required figures, you get a compacted chassis at 33 grams, despite a battery increased to 280 mAh, able – with standard use – to bring to 14 days of autonomy.

Thanks to the reduction of the side frames, under the 2.5D glass, a square TFT display, from 1.69 inches, with 218 PPI and an HD resolution (240 × 280 pixels), on which to implement the customization of the watchfaces (over 50, 2 of which can be edited, with the possibility of inserting widgets at the user’s discretion and the possibility of choosing one’s own image as a background) via the Zepp app.

For both models, the chassis is waterproof up to 5 atmospheres and is compatible with 20 mm silicone straps: both Amazfit Bi 3, then, track the 24H heart rate, alerting in the case of abnormal frequencies, detect the saturation of the oxygen in the blood and, like the more prestigious rival Forerunner 255, also pay attention to the quality of sleep. There is also the evaluation of stress, the PAI fitness index, and the tracking of about sixty sports modes including swimming.

Through Bluetooth 5.0 it is possible to synchronize data with the Zepp app, on which to consult its in-depth analyzes, but also to receive notifications from the smartphone, control the music and the camera as a remote shutter. The only differences between the two models are two, both in favor of the Pro model (33.2 grams), which integrates GPS with support for 4 satellites and implements the “open water swimming” mode.
