In the beta version of the app Telephone Of Android they made their appearance there emoji audio which, apparently, will soon be officially introduced on the well-known mobile operating system.

These are sound effects that can be used for funny effects during telephone conversationswith a stylish effect Gialappa’s Band. These range from the more sober ones, such as applause e laughsup to those a little less “elegant” like noisy flatulence.

At present, as already mentioned, to test this new functionality first-hand you need to be a tester. Enjoying this state, the audio emojis can be used by updating the app, therefore going to Play Storepressing on profile photo at the top right and choosing the options Manage apps and device Updates available. From here, simply update the Telephone app to try out the new introduction first-hand.

Audio emojis: here’s how to use or disable them

To use audio emoji during a call you need to press the new dedicated button on the screen that appears when you make a phone call. This will open a menu with all the various options available. By selecting the appropriate emoji, a sound audible to both interlocutors will be played (for example, the laughter sound effect is represented by a laughing emoji).

This implementation has very limited usefulness and a very retro flavor and, precisely for these reasons, it may not be appreciated by a large segment of users. To be able to disable this type of content, you need to launch the Phone app, select the menu with three dots (top right) and from here go in SettingsEmoji audiodeactivating this last item.

In any case, this intervention only serves to deactivate it on the device: in fact, if an interlocutor is using this function, it is not possible to avoid it in some way.

It’s not the first time that something new in the Android environment leaves more than a few doubts. Recently, in fact, the disappearance of a function has sent many users into a rage.
