Among the new features arriving, two new tools for protect iPhone and Mac displays from prying eyes and therefore prevent external people from having free access to passwords and personal data. Let’s find out what it is.
Apple, innovative privacy solutions
To prevent users and their Apple-branded devices from becoming the object of unwanted attentionthe company filed two new patents very interesting ones that should best protect consumer privacy.
The first one is kind of film to apply on the display Of iPhone e iPad which should allow optimal vision only to the user who uses it.
From what we read, this “coverage” should easily adapt to any type of screen (even the curved ones) and prevent anyone is not positioned frontally to clearly read the contents of the device.
According to rumors on the web, this simple and effective solution will succeed “disguise” the details of the display to all those external gazes that, in addition to the messages and personal photosthey will also be barred access to various passwordsa fundamental detail for privacy and for the security of the device itself which, in the event of theft, cannot be used.
The second patent, however, is developed for i Mac and it’s one both hardware and software solution.
From the leaked information we read that the user will be able to reduce the viewing anglemaking it impossible to read the screen by anyone who is not positioned in front of it.
This system can be used only on some display categories and will exploit the panel polarization through micro-adjustments that will limit its visibility.
Therefore, whoever is positioned, for example, next to the user, should not be able to see the contents of the PC correctly or, at least, should have great difficulty reading the various information.
When new features arrive
As evident, it is about two very valid solutionswhich can make a difference especially for those users who use their electronic devices in crowded environments and potentially risky for them privacy.
Despite this, however, at the moment there are no confirmations yet officials on the arrival of these technologies and, although the Cupertino giant has registered the patent, it is not certain that it will decide to apply them to products on the market or to those that it will release in the future.
Probably, these new privacy systems they are still in the testing phase and (if they ever arrive on the market) it could still take a long time before they are available.
Despite this, it is undeniable that Apple is working on future technologies to protect the privacy of its users, it only remains to understand whether these will prove effective and which ones will arrive on the market.
